My first official appointment as Miss International Europe was a visit to the Irish Embassy in Tokyo, where I had the privilege of meeting the Irish Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Damien Cole. 🇯🇵 🇮🇪
Dressed in a stunning design by Irish designer Helen McAlinden (@helen_mcalinden), styled with a hairband from Ana Victoria Mulcahy Millinery @anavictoriamulcahy) and pin from Newbridge Silverware (@newbridgesilverware), I felt immense pride in showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship of Ireland. The Ambassador and I had a wonderful conversation about the importance of celebrating Irish design and the arts, and the creativity that flows from the Emerald Isle!
I also shared one of the most moving experiences of my trip—my visit to Fukushima with my fellow @missinternationalofficial delegates. Meeting the community there and witnessing their resilience as they continue to rebuild was incredibly humbling. Their strength and unity were a powerful reminder of how hope and perseverance can overcome even the greatest challenges.
I also had the chance to hear about the progress on some of Ireland’s upcoming projects in Japan, including the opening of Ireland House in 2025. As a Visit Japan ambassador, I hope to visit in the new year.
These moments remind me of the importance of building bridges between cultures and embracing the shared values that unite us. A special thank you to my fellow delegate, Ms. Nigeria 2024, Perpetual Ukadike, for joining me on this visit. It was a true reflection of building bridges—representing Europe, Asia, and Africa. 🌍
Thank you to the Embassy of Ireland for welcoming us so kindly.
