My first property investment in North Cyprus!
Me again. Hope you are all safe and well. Today I thought I'd reflect on quick a trip I made to North Cyprus back in August. Why?
Because I purchased my first property!!
I have to say, I'm really excited about it. Not only because it's my first step into the realm of property investing (which I have been interested in for some time now), but because it opens the conversation around building long term financial stability.
Wealth creation is a topic I have been learning about for as long as I can remember, through books, webinars, coaching... You name it. With everything going on in the world right now, I believe it’s become even more important to consistently evaluate options and diversify wherever possible. Having multiple income streams is something I feel we should all be educated on and working towards, and real estate is one of the most tried and true vehicles for passive income, plus I've come to find that it’s A LOT of fun.
This is just the beginning but I’m so excited about what’s in the works. Investing, let alone overseas investing, was not something I had planned to venture into this year, but the right opportunity landed on my desk and I went for it.
I've been really grateful to spend time with some of the brightest business minds in the world, and learning their thoughts and actions towards investing has been fascinating. It's also encouraged me to make my money work for me by creating passive income streams. That way, in theory, I can eventually step back from things with the income still ticking over.
Everyone is different. Maybe you're interested in property investing, maybe you're not. Regardless, I hope that by sharing my experience, it can shed some light as to whether or not it's something you'd like to explore. I really hope this blog can be an honest, transparent & helpful platform, where we can discuss things like finance openly, in a beneficial manner!
I have always dreamed about starting my investment journey, but didn't anticipate it would begin at 23. The property I purchased is an apartment, and it is currently in the building process with completion expected in January, 2021. I can’t wait to update you in another post on how it's developing, in terms of interior design, etc!
In the mean time, I will do a more in depth post on how I found the right property, what made me buy in North Cyprus and how you could be investing in the Mediterranean too!
